Firstly I'm tired of hearing avout DDOS attacks. This same kind of attacks why I can't even play Phantasy Star Online 2 any Fn more. The way it pisses me off that they try to use US the players as a reason to justify this BS... DDOS attacks are just a troll/s being a bunch of asses and aiming to temporarily take down a server. I also never stand in defence of hackers especially after 2011. People tried defending them like Sony didn't have the right to defend the PS3 from public hacks that was ruining the games smh. Anyways, since June, everyday I've tried to log into PSO2 and STILL can't because of the stupid ddos attack.
Also to the person who thinks a modem or IPS can block a DDOS attack. You should get some time and research why that has nothing on a big scale DDOS attack. These are usually organized. Captcha's are created to prevent these things you know lol. But it doesn't do anything against these attacks. Also didn't you hear of a IP mask or IP block or anythingn these are simple to do these days, can a server catch it. Yes but it can't immediately detect it. I've masked my ip to use American sites like Hulu because I'm in Canada, and you know what, it took Hulu 10 hours of me streaming to realize I was Masking my IP for service outside the states lol. If a streaming service can't immediately catch this. How do you think a company can stop a ddos attack.
Thinking about this just gets me so annoyed as I loved playing PSO2. These asses are trying to take down corperate greed, yet they took down a free to play PC/Vita game. PlayStation which imo is the most generous of the big 3 when it comes down to itm they also take them down while Sony has a flash sale where the games on sale are games that costumers requested lol. This logics amazing.
PS. I don't know what else these groups have taken down but I can't justify them making the users suffer...
