Sony isn't aiming to have the next N64.  If the PS3 only sells 30 million consoles they'll have ended up losing at least $1 billion on it.

What they are going for is a varied game library with a large number of games (not neccessarily a large number of quality games) and those sorts of game libraries don't see 35% attach rates.
