That's a really bad reason to not buy any more Pokemon games. The reason they didn't start out with more than one file was because of limitations on the GameBoy. That's no excuse now, but if you both wanted to play it all the time, would you really want to share it. Again it's not an amazing reason, but there is some.

Actually, it's a very good reason not to buy more Pokemon games. It's the failure of gamers to take a stand on principle that lets game developers and publishers and console makers get away with shit. They know gamers are addicted to this crack so they can get away with consumer abusive practices and there might be some grumbles but they know in the end the gamers will still buy the games. I was fully prepared to not buy PS4 if Sony went down the same DRM path as MS was planning with Xb one. And if Sony had introduced DRM like MS, which would have been a conspiracy between MS and Sony fully supported by 3rd party devs, the PR push to sell this consumer abuse to gamers would have been huge and they would have got away with it. And there were legions of MS Xbox fans willing to eat up that MS DRM shit and call it the finest Belgian chocolate.

If Sony introduced DRM to make it not possible to swap, give away or sell the next TLOU or UC4 I would not be buying the game. If they made it not possible for more than one account on a given PS4 able to play the game I would not buy the game.

It's irrelevant why this limitation existed in the past. The developer and Nintendo are dicks for not using the technology available to remove unjustified restrictions like this. It is also irrelevant whether I want to play the game at the same time as my son. It should be possible to have multiple game saves on one cartridge regardless. If we wanted to coop, or compete or whatever you can do with Pokemon games, then sure we'd buy 2 copies, but that does not justify retaining this game save limitation.

I'm just saying if it did have multiple files, I wouldn't let anyone else play on them. I think you are taking it a little too seriously, every game has it's flaws. It's not like this is a huge conspiracy. Mario and Legend of Zelda have different files. Nintendo isn't trying to scam you. It's just a flaw of the game. If you don't want to buy any games that have any flaws, be my guest. If you buy extremely glitchy games at launch, that's like saying that you're okay with devs not finishing the game before releasing it according to your logic.
