and its not in a bad place, its in the exact perfect spot because it leaves everything else where they should be. the options button isnt akward at all. sure maybe the first hour you play your used to its old spot so you go to hit it and its not there, but its new spot makes alot of sense, i never touch it accidentally and have never missed touching out when i went to hit it. You are basically grasping at straws trying to find something to bash. |
The only people grasping at straws are the developers trying to find non gimmicky ways to use the touchpad. I played infamous second son and they had me using the touchpad for some fingerprint nonsense that could have easily been mapped to a button. That kind of silliness only goes to show that most of these devs don't know what to do with it. Its presence on the front of the controller now makes hitting the options button more difficult than it needs to be. The poor options button is cramped into a corner where it can barely breathe just so that Sucker Punch can have me do pointless graffitti in their game. I know that you feel it's your job to defend every decision sony made, but I'm sorry, I just don't think the touchpad is in the right place. That isn't grasping for straws, thats an honest criticism. It is not easy enough to access that it can become viable as another inupt because in its current position it is actively battling for attention with buttons that pretty much all developers are more likely to focus on. If it was possible to use the touchpad simultaneously while still keeping your fingers on the face buttons and sticks then it would become a much more viable input option.
