They are release a lot of new stuff, and if you mean it's not innovate or new enough for you it's a lot more than it was in the gamecube/wii days. More towards wii.

i don´t know about your country, but emulators are legal here and by new i mean something with a different experience, not another mario kart

Splatoon's coming out soon. As far as new IP's go, that's more than we got half the life of the gamecube and the whole life of the wii(excluding the Wii titles, which really aren't games). Have you never played more than one game in a series. Games in one series can differ from each other a lot.

edit- not trying to defend mariokart, that's not different, but a lot are.
