Learn to love it I say. At the end of the day DS4 is a great controller does all the essentials for a controller very well and so has no particular flaws which makes it inherently inferior to any other controller. Therefore it is simply a matter of getting used to it and spending enough time to become comfortable with it.
I would no doubt take some time getting used to an xbox controller if I ever had need of one. But I would persevere until it became as second nature as DS4 is for me.
I never has any problem with DS3 either, the convex analog sticks were occasionally a difficulty but not very often.
Also, you basically can't use an alternative controller to DS4 for any game that uses the touch pads like Infamous SS. So even if you could use an xbox controller you would be significantly limiting your game options.
