If it truly is the best controller of all time as some have claimed then the number of people that will want to do that will be minimal. A small insignificant group that includes myself and a handful of others. 

Ironically the xbox one doesn't have controller check ins so you can use a DS4 on that system if you want. I sersiously doubt that sales of xb1 controllers have been significantly impacted.

Why would sony invest money and dev time to put a patch that would at best only loss them revenue. How much people have you saw claiming they would buy ps4 only if they could use x360 controller or WiiU pad?

And regarding DRM a check or verification of hw aint DRM. The only reason you insist on that is for the paralel with always online. And you can see how much they differ for the amount of complains for each situation.

This reminds me of a thread. X360 controller is the best control globally in x360.
