I think this was the reason why the Wii sold so well. It was a great secondary system after the luster wore off initially, and when 360 and PS3 owners wanted to try something new, they could always fall back to Nintendo which had a cheap price point, and if you stick with first party games for the most part, will get to see a highly polished system, and optimized games
The same holds true for the WiiU. Nintendo is the best 1st party developer.
Unfortunately, Nintendo has turned into the side girlfriend. You don't get serious with her, but she's always fun when you hang out.
