an opinon piece as well as an "editorial" are where the matter discussed/analyzed is so broad that is should be considered more as an educated opinion rather than a factual report

For example : "Would a war in Iraq require a UN approval" - type of article - where morals, values, perceptions, etc. overweight facts in the core thesis

Non-opinion articles or "editorials", so typical articles are usually more factual but always leave space for opinion, especially in the interpretation of the involved actor's motivations.
