Use case #1 for the gamepad!


No. The map has to be integrated constantly in the HUD, somehow (like they do in the army BTW in fighters), with an option to make it big when you push a button. Some games like Infamous do it perfectly.

The gamepad doesn't work in any fast paced game IMO. It would break the immersion each time you look at the gamepad.
