I understand not liking the controls, and I doubly understand that if there was some mechanical malfunction that prevented you from playing the game as it was meant to be played, but that does not make them bad. It just makes it different... Its unfortunate that everyone wasn't able to get the same joy out of it that I was, but I don't believe that to be exclusively the fault of the game... |
well not exclusively as you would have to have a very good setup in place. Maybe my sensor bar was slightly off or something but it never seemed to effect other games then again I didn't have any other motion plus games. Also non-inverted is the only way I play lol. For me I like innovation not in control mechanics, which I think have been fine since the first dualshock minus a few tweaks, but in storytelling and on-screen mechanics and such (like Puppeteer's stage setup). Then again I don't crave radical innovation as much as the next guy and am often happy with a well-crafted and fulfilling narrative with solid gameplay even if there's nothing entirely new on the table like 3d Mario, Uncharted, Zelda (as far as the setup of the game goes with dungeons and all), Ratchet and Clank of course, and many more of my favorite franchises that are often criticized for lack of innovation. As far as I'm concerned if I'm having fun I don't care if I've had fun in a similar manner before. I only care if it FEELS repetitive and none of those games have ever felt that way so I guess new/continuing stories and new encounters and new setpieces, and new puzzles and enemies and weapons were enough.
