She wasn't a victim but the backlash from the general public, and by general public I mean the gaming public is turning her into a victim.
So no, it's not being "ignored," if anything it's being overplayed, given the public response/outcry.
Without knowing the nature of her relationship and frankly, not even caring because it doesn't pertain to me at all, it sounds like it wasn't a committed relationship. If not, who cares if a guy or a girl is sleeping with a dozen other individuals outside of a primary relationship other than "traditional" (Puritanical, whatever) pundits whose conservative sensibilities have been offended?
I don't care. And neither should you if you aren't soft and squishy and can help it.
And if your are, I didn't see no ring on her finger.
