But this is a bullshit comparison. On one side there is sexism, on the other side there is just sex. These two things are not the same, there is no legitimate comparison, there is no moral equivalence, there is no mis-directed political correctness. You even missed the point in your reply to me. It's not really about wheter there's corruption in the gaming media, it's about that fact that you cannot reasonably compare the two situations in the OP and call it a case of reverse sexism, or unequal treatment in the media, because they aren't equal situations.
And now it appears that perhaps the person at Kotaku she slept with didn't wite about or review her game. So in actual fact it may be the case that there is no evidence of Zoe giving out sex for media favours, she is just doing what every free person has the right to do. yet people are tyrying to say she should be dragged through the press and be judged in exactly the same way as a person who made a sexist public statement, who isn't denying that what he dsaid was sexist and offensive. The disgusting judgmental attitude of some people here is even worse if it turns out she didn;t actually have sex with people for some professional gain. If the facts of the situation bear out that she did not seek or obtain professional gain from her sexual encounters then she is owed a massive collective apology from everyone who created false moral outrage threads like this one.
I'm a very moral guy. I believe and live by the concept of monogamy and commitment to relationships. So my own personal morals disagree with what she did. but I have no moral authority over her so I do not judge her for her behaviour. And if there was no professional gain element to what she did then there is nothing more to be said. If she did seek professional gain then that is wrong and deserves criticism. But it is not in the same realms of behaviour as making sexist public statements so it does not belong in the same gaming media context. And at the end of the day criticism agains the person willing to sell their column inches for sex should be stronger than criticism of Zoe. But I see here the loudest and strongest judgements being cast on Zoe. Is that not sexist?
