As I said, it sounds like your M+ unit was faulty, because the input lag was near negligible if you played the way the game was supposed to be played. 

I've heard at least as many people complaining about the motion controls as praising them and the fact that Nintendo is probably only going to use them for aiming (as in WWHD) is very telling as far as how much people were satisfied with them.  I love Zelda but they were held back for 2 games (less so with TP because it kept things simpler)
