I found that interesting too. I thought, "Shouldn't Adam Boyes report to Yoshida?", so I looked him up. Adam Boyes is (according to his twitter) VP of Publisher & Developer Relations. In other words if Yoshida is the top man for SCE Studios, Boyes wouldn't asnwer to him, he'd answer to Andrew House, as does Yoshida. Yoshida would only know about any deals with 3rd parties or games coming out via them from proper meetings involving the 2, their direct work does not overlap at all.
