Shuhei Yoshida: The technical issues on PS3 and the way it was engineered didn't work.
It's a pattern with Team ICO, ICO didn't work on ps1, SotC hardly ran on PS2 (It can't even do full 1080p on ps3), TLG flat out broke the ps3. Too ambitious. It might be bad game design figuring out last how to get it to work on the target machine, but it has delivered two awesome games. Sadly TLG will likely never live up to expectations. Would SotC still have been rated so highly if the first time it first came out was on ps3 after years of delay? Most reviews will start with, was it worth the wait. The game will probably come out once everyone stops asking for it :)
