i agree with you its just greed.
Seriously Gameboy games allowed you to save your progress 20 years ago. Vita carts cant?
I also was thinking about buying a vita 10x or so but everytime I was like "ah shit I need a memory card fuck it"
if the memory cards were purely optional for people that want PSN games okay. But making it proprietary was extremely stupid. I can buy a 64GB SDXC card for 20€ But have to pay like 36€ for a 16GB vita memory card and 77€ for a 32gb version.

A quick search on Amazon shows that you can have 128GB cards for $70.
At this point, though, I bet they see the Vita as such a lost cause they don't even care anymore.

FYI $ =/=€ also US =/= EU.
Good luck finding a 64GB version on Amazon Germany.
In Germany you cannot even order a 64GB Memory card. its a Japan import. The biggest memory card you can find is the 32gb version. The most common is the 16gb version http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&url=search-alias%3Dvideogames&field-keywords=Playstation%20Vita%20Memory%20card
Why does sony do this? Because Europe is Sony land.

LOL I know, I was talking about SD cards. :p
The ship has sailed on cutting memory prices to boost sales at this point. Neither Sony or third parties are putting enough effort into Vita development to foster more interest; without that, any other steps they take at this point won't be enough.
