l try to not be hateful, but I can't disguise my apathy.

The PS4 may not be as overpriced, oversized, and overproduced as the PS3, but I sure see it as oversold. It does nothing interesting in regards to interacting with games, and the online subscription is just a tool for driving devoted fans to be even more obsessed.
The more they pay, the more they will rationalize that they have invested wisely and are getting a good deal.

Aside from this, I just don't see any games coming.

I could get interested down the road, as I don't play online anyway and won't need to bother with PS+, but not until some of the really big titles have hit.

That word irks the hell out off me....

I agree it isn't a very diplomatic phrasing.

But consideing that I can muster no nthusiasm for it, yet for it to be selling as it is, I'm forced to assume people are buying it on a lot of lofty promises that it has yet to live up to.

I guess your apathy can pass for hate then, cause this is the exact same kinda blind or biased criticism I am talking about. Don't mean to single you out here. But let me apologize in advance for calling your opinion blind or biased just in case there is valid reasoning behind your opinion so help me understand where you are coming from.

You say you see it as oversold. And how you just don't see any games coming. When you say this what do you mean? Compared to what? What in your opinion has or do you see having games that are worth owning a system for as opposed to say a PS4? I am asking this cause I want to have an idea of what you mean by games.

if you look at the last gen and the number of game of the year awards giving to games, as funny as it may sound the playstation platform has the most exclusive game of the year rated games when compared to any other platform (not including PC since it doesn't folow generational cycles). Now i know people are different and that cause critics generally give playstation games a game of the year award wouldn't mean those games qualify as game of the year in your book but that at least tells you one thing; playstation does have games that a lot of people think are great.

And your oversold comment, technically there are three types of console buyers. Those that buy based on promises and such gamers for whatever reason have faith in the company making those promises, those that buy cause they can simply afford to and they want the newest best thing on the market to play the best versions of games that are either coming within a year on the new platform and future releases and those that will only buy a console when a certain game(s) is on it. If people are choosig to buy the PS4, saying what you have just said basically is you saying that there is no reason to own a PS4.

Sincerely, I am only asking you these questions cause I don't understand how anyone can look at a playstation and say it doesn't have games or even worse  that they don't see games coming. I honestly think that is the one thing that can't be said about any playstation platform cause that is the one area sony has always delivered in. Things like Psnow can go the way of other failed sony projects and morphus may never see prime time... but when it comes to games, no playstation platform has ever lacked them.
