I don't want them to go down, though. Their handheld efforts at least let me keep my trust in SqEnix. Besides, I don't think they'll go down anytime soon. They'll downsize to handheld-only, perhaps, but not go away entirely.

That's the equivalent of them shutting down for a lot of people. It's even worse because their IPs won't be sold then.

Ah, I see. Their handheld efforts are at least respectable, and you don't want to doubt what they're capable of on Vita. In fact, I'd say the Squaresoft (RPG) side is much better off on handheld (Vita for mainline Final Fantasy; 3DS for everything else), while the Eidos side is better off on console.
