I don't have a problem with this at all. Developers need ways to leverage more support from platform holders. I have no doubt Microsoft paid for this one way or another, probably with increased exposure and advertising. Unlike some people, I WANT developers to make all the money they can as long as it has minimal impact on the core experience of the games they create. Items that aren't in the game work for that.
This is well worth the trade-off CD Projekt RED is making. I respect very much that they're trying to keep the game itself the same across all platforms so I will not begrudge them something like this.
