EA Bought the license to make NFL games exclusively... That meant that the 2K Sports Franchise couldn't compete with Madden anymore. This happened because a few years back, the 2K Football game that year turned out better than Madden. EA couldn't take that sitting down, so they signed a deal with the NFL to be the exclusive maker of NFL season games for several years. I think that time is up or close to it, because someone made an NFL Legends game last year...
