I dont think you cursed enough ;)

1. I dont think that is a problem. I would consider Final Fantasy similar to games like Mario, Halo, Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, Battlefield, or any other franchise that can have multiple games in the work. They arent competing with each other unless theyre released in the same time frame as the other installments.

2. They do announce games too early though. I dont think that is going to hurt sales though. I think it gains popularity in a way. The Last Guardian can be used as an example. Almost everybody on the internet will know about this game by the time it releases. However i think it hurts them when it comes to budget because if a game is in development that long i would say it is likely having problems and costing them more money because they keep having to restart or fix something.  What will hurt the game is if it is a bad game which remains to be seen

3. Yeah i have to agree with you completely on this one. Not sure why they decided to make FF13 sequels yet they dont touch their most popular FF game in FF7. Well they did make crisis core but they could just remake FF7 for easy money

4. Disagree. Tomb Raider 2013 did sell 7m but Square Enix said publicly they were not happy with the sales originally meaning that they were not happy with how much it sold initially. I think if im remembering correctly they wanted Tomb Raider to sell 7m in the first 3-6months? You would have to go back and look that up. This deal makes it less of a risk for Square Enix.

It will sell less of course, does not mean its making less money though.  They arent advertising(MSFT is), MSFT is funding it, etc
