A mistake on his part, if he is town, but then you announced that you were reduced to vanilla, so I guess we all make mistakes. But then, you did try to get people to not nullify your power, and revealing what you did was necessary for there to even be a chance for town to decide not to nullify your power, so I don't see your situation as a big deal, whereas RCT's reveal seems like a mistake that doesn't help him much as town, but would increase the chance of getting protection by unsuspecting town if he were mafia. On the other hand, we were discussing the possibility of multiple factions, and evidence like a bulletproof vest being lost/destroyed when there was also a kill that happened was HUGE. Unfortunately, a few other possibilities crept in that prevented us from getting a confirmation on that. I'm kind of in the middle with my suspicions on RCT right now, but one thing's for sure, if he flipped to reveal that he had a bulletproof vest, it would just about confirm that there's either another killing party, or a thief. Everything I could come up with to explain RCT's missing vest, assuming he's telling the truth, involves either a theif or some other killing party. The flip would remove the lying variable. If it turned out he was lying, he's probably mafia, and if he's not, then he brought the lynch on himself and town is better off without him. So if he's lying, it's a good lynch, and if he's not lying, it's still a lynch that gets us some valuable information. I'm just not sure if it's worth the risk of losing the town. Let's say he's not lying. Is he more likely mafia or town? If there's a better than random chance that he's mafia if he's telling the truth, I would say he's the best lynch candidate we have. If not, then there are better lynches.
