I can't really argue with that. The Tomb Raider deal feels timid. They're taking the safe money, the guaranteed, lower yield investment over the potentially higher risk, higher yield path. It comes across as a lack of confidence. That's not how you grow your brand. Either they're being short-sighted or they're regretting giving this game the green light.
On the other hand, it looks like Konami is all-in with Metal Gear and they want it to be as big as possible, to generate as much mind-share as possible.
