Climate change is natural. You can't and won't stop it.

And always remember; the Earth is finite, the human species is potentially infinite.

Can't stop it, but we do have an effect on it. Humans are doing a good job accelerating the process. Rapid changes is what kills. For exmaple, the latest theories make life itself responsible for the great dying. http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2014/04/the-great-dying-was-earths-colossal-extinction-event-caused-by-microbes.html That was only at 6 degrees higher temperature than now. Life can stabalize the climate, can also mess it up.

Luckily the current land mass configuration of the earth is pretty beneficial to surviving a hothouse period, plenty of land in the cooler northern latitudes. Sea level goes up and down too with the climate, it was 120 meters lower during the last ice age, can go up another 60-70 meters.

It is currently accelerating since the industrial age started

What is the best course of action. Predict the changes and plan accordingly full steam ahead, or try to slow the change and gain more time to adapt. Ignore any changes are happening probably isn't the best course.
