Even with the 8th already going on the 7th is still very relevant.
There are some really good games only available at the 7th gen consoles this year.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2
South Park: The Stick of Truth
Dark Souls 2
and maybe some others that I have forget

And still we have a new Naruto, a new Borderlands, a new Assassin's Creed, and some more stuff. 7th is still relevant.

Do any of those games have a >90 meta? If you look at the top 5, most of those games throughout the years have over 90 meta score (usually top 3 atleast). I only know one of the top of my head and thats Dark Souls 2.

I dunno, I generally think this year was fucking dreadful in terms of games atleast so far. The only reason 7th is even remotely relevant is because 8 hasn't really started. But you can still see the support for 7 getting less and less (most are multis, exclusives coming for 8th). It's just not that interesting imo.

Lightning Return: Final Fantasy 13 (360: 69pts. of 21 critics/ PS3: 66pts. of 62 critics)
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (360: 70pts. of 22 critics/ PS3: 63pts. of 55 critics)
South Park: The Stick of Truth (PS3: 85pts. of 31 critics/ 360: 82pts. of 33 critics)
Dark Souls 2 (360: 92pts. of 29 critics / PS3: 91pts. of 69 critics)

Man, I'm really impressed with how little number of critics the 360 versions had... it's almost ever reviewed for about 1/3 to 1/2 of the amount the PS3 versions got, so we can see why the overral higher numbers...
But yeah, only DS 2 got over 90pts. (and on both versions)

Yeah.. nuff zaid!
