It sure is looking good for gaming this generation.

Sales-wise:

Wii attracts a lot of the blue ocean, and also gets some of the SNES'ers to come back.

PS3 seems to be able to get in a big part of Ps2 userbase, and also get some new in.

X360 takes in most XB owners and some more.

Game-wise

X360 has a massive line-up, mainly shooters, but also a lot of RPGs and others.

Ps3 gets some of the enourmous X360 titles (they go multiplat) and they also have some great exclusives, even though many of them have bene rated down by reviewers.

Wii is a great stand-alone console for non-hardcore gamers who are fine with not alot of games comming in. It is also a superb own for multi-console owners. I have yet to see a solo-Wii-owner be unhappy with the library.

Electronic Arts is losing money, and some companies are now able to refuse being taken over.

We are seeing record high reviews for anyone who cares about those.

Surely this is looking to be one of the greatest generations for gamers, yet.
