Great stories are common, gameplay prefection is rare and only the games that achieve it should be in the top 10.TLoU only has a great story and it's its marketing, production and the fact that it's made from Naughty Dog that helped this game get overhyped above the rest creating a snowball effect (seriously, from the moment we've seen the first CGI trailer with the ND logo that game was already considered by many to be a futur best game of all time contender...)


LOL this is where you and those like you are so wrong.  The Last Of Us gets its praise from the fact that its gameplay AND its story are 10/10.  Both have never been done so well before without one getting in the other's way.


How is it's gameplay a 10/10? What element in this game is so out of this world? Everything in this game has been done before. You can't possibly tell me that the shooting is 10/10 and best shooting you have ever seen. Cover based elements? Yep, done before. Stealth elements, also done before and done better by many... Upgrading you'r weapons, picking up items off the ground, trowing grenades, all done before. Melee fights, lol done before and way better, the melee from this game not only sucks, but it's also OP. I think I've killed more enemies by smashing the square buttons over and over than by shooting. Hmm... what gameplay elements does that game have... Oh yeah! The way you can manipulate your enemies, I'ts pretty neat I'll give it that, but not enough to make this game a 10/10. I think the best thing about this game are the clickers, and they are awfully underused.

And don't get me started on the AI, oh boy oh boy, I could talk alot about those. Like my allies screaming next to clickers or walking right in front of a ennemie and stand there right in front of him w/o anything happening....

So yeah, I just said what I think, but I'm very curious, what gameplay element does this game have that is so perfect? Cause the way I see it, the gameplay was shoehorned into the game in order to progress thru the story so they just added elements done before and well known cause it's probably not to hard to do so and called it quits w/o putting much brainpower into any elements (with maybe the exception of the clickers) cause all brainpower was focused on how to make us care and cry about these characters.
