Speaking for myself as a non-PC gamer, I spent ten years on 360 and was WELL overdue for some new hardware. Even if I play a game like Battlefield 4 that exists in both older consoles, new consoles and PC it doesn't matter because for me the PS4 version is an upgrade over 360 and the PC version is irrelevant because I don't play on PC. But I wouldn't turn around and say PC has no games because I don't play them or they also exist on other platforms. |
PC gamers have just as big a reason to own consoles. Some awesome games like JRPGs and other exclusives never make their way to PC, and so a lot of PC gamers end up buying a console. I'd be willing to say that at least 50% or more of PC gamers also ended up owning one console or another last generation.
And where did I say consoles have no games? Now you're just twisting my words. I said that a PC gamer buys consoles for the quality AAA exclusives, which all the consoles other than perhaps the Wii U currently lack. That is sure to change once games like Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Master Chief Collection, and Sunset Overdrive come out.
You're Gonna Carry That Weight.
