But Batman Origins came out being notably worse than the other versions, in addition to missing features (whatever your opinion of those features is is irrelevant). The fact that it didn't get DLC just reduces faith in consumers for later purchases and decreases any potential for legs.

Whats wrong with not wanting to but Deus Ex because it is cheaper elsewhere? Any educated consumer would know that they were being ripped off, and most consumers aren't just going to buy something that they know is a rip-off. Many of those consumers may have put the game on a "wait until price drop list" or bought the game on steam or elsewhere due to this.

Injustice only had a collectors addition on other consoles and there were a few other features that showed that the game wasn't being fully supported (such as the delay in the UK and the lack of communication with the iOS app.

My point was that an audience needs to be built with good titles, because our faith in third parties has been shown to be unfounded time and time again. Every time a new third party game is announced (which isn't too often these days), we think "okay, how are we going to get screwed over this time?". I don't know about you, but that makes me not really want to buy third party games. While a good third party game may come around once in a while that isn't gimped in some way (however rare that is), we still have that doubt in our minds. Third parties can change our minds my releasing good games that don't feel gimped, or like an afterthought and there really isn't much risk. This could have trememdous long term benefits. Thinking only about the short term is a good way to run your company into the ground...

The difference between PS3/XBO and Nintendo consoles, is that the difference was really only technical. While some of the Wii U's problems with 3rd parties are technical, the main problem is that 3rd parties don't put the effort or faith into Wii U games as they put into others. The games aren't marketed well, they aren't shown off as much or they are sometimes delayed, miss out on LEs, miss out on DLC, etc...

Once again, it isn't the consumer's job to buy subpar products in order to change publishers' minds. It is the publisher's job to change the consumer's mind about the product beforehand.

When they did tried nobody supported them, they made some mistakes is true and the Wii U version was not perfect but they tried and tested the market,it happens all the time, they were having trouble at the beggining with the PS3, but the consumers were there and that editions sold good enough, they saw the importance of improving their version for that console, because they could sell better.

Now they just gave up and I don´t blame them, we were too high end and nitpicky with their editions, so what if the DLC is missing it is still a great game by itself (and lets be honest almost no Nintendo fan buys DLC anyway, I know I don't), so what if the framerate drops from time to time you can still enjoy the game, so what if some textures has a little lower quality at most you will be seeing them for a few second and move on. I understand is something really big is missing that you may want to wait till there is price drop, the problem is that after the price drop nobody bought it anyway.

Now we are harvesting what we cultivated, we were not supporting their efforts now we don't get their games, and if you are someone that enjoys gaming in general you will have to buy a second console (or a powerful PC) to get the variety that the Wii U cannot provide, and is harder to convince people who will only buy a single console that the Wii U is the right choice, as much as people may want to play MK8 they will not buy it if they cannot get their annual soccer, CoD or AC fix.

We cannot demand anything from them, we could beg at most and I don't want to beg. If you really want to send a message to them, the Nintendo fans have to buy a ton of Watch_dogs when that game is released and that will make them wonder if releasing it at the same time would have mean more sales, boycoting that kind of efforts only proves them once again that it would have been better not releasing it at all, which is what is going to happen because people are already saying that they will not buy a delayed port, because reasons.... Lets face it, they don't want our bussines anymore, we are those anoying customer that complain about everything and don't buy anything at all, so why bother when there is another group that happily get their products.

You can get mad at some companies that never made the effort, but Square-Enix is not one of them, when an improved port of an excellent game that is considered the 7th best game for the console (based on metacritic score) make them lose money, they have no reason to believe that a port of another game will make any better.
