Nicklesbe said: Thanks for answering RCT. I'm not convinced in either direction, I hope others will have more input on this. I don't want to rush a decision in either direction and I do appreciate your input. 1. If you are also a townie and want to help town please don't give up. Lies will unravel and the truth always shines through. At this point I am confused. TheProf, Sparks, Trucks, Padib, Smeags, and anyone else, can ya help me to understand this? Are you saying that you gave up, and took your vote off outlaw condemning yourself, and then immediately revealed your role? That doesn't seem like it was the way things went down. The chain of events seems off. From what I remember there was a time when you had the votes on you but sparks and theprof were saying we should vote for outlaw. Then you took your vote off outlaw condemning yourself, a bold move that made me think hard about a vote on outlaw instead. Then Padib used his power to save outlaw and a discussion started for testing padib's claim. Then others including myself moved our votes to outlaw, at this point you were very safe and then you revealed your role. Am I mistaken at all everyone? Input would be greatly appreciated. 2. So let me get this straight. You read the note and and decided, unprovoked to immediately make a post telling us you were attacked? No one else had any influence on that decision, and you told us right away? Are you sure that's how it happened? If so can you explain this? From the looks of it you kept the info to yourself until sparks mentioned the possibility that someone attacked a player and we wouldn't necessarily know. That's when you said that you had been attacked. 3. Why be upset about it? Why not go into that line of questioning yourself? What's stopping you? If you think it's fishy then you need to question it. It doesn't do us any good being quiet about it and not pursuing it. As I said before until someone gives me reason to think they were the one that was protected instead I;m not sure what else I can ask. Do you have any questions I could ask? If so please share. For the sake of it tho TheProf00 can please answer this question: Did you lie about being protected? Can you give us reason to believe you were protected? Care to summerize the note that WoW sent you letting you know you were protected? Also RCT you never answered my questions why you didn't put your vote back on Outlaw and why you kept your vote open. However I know you said you were on lunch so maybe you were just rushed. Would apprecaite more input from you. Also from everyone input would be great because I don't want to be making any mistakes so any and all input and corrections would be appreciated. |
The events went as followed:
1. I came back after a half-day and saw a lot of people voting against me.
2. I figured that I wouldn't have enough time to explain my reasons/behavior in enough detail to get people to change their minds and unvote me in time to save me.
3. I figured that I should at this point reveal my role and let people know the truth and have it confirmed once I'm lynched so the townspeople have something to go off of.
4. Truck began to ask me a couple questions about whom I found suspicious and whom I thought was town.
5. During those questions, combining my lack of hope and realizing my wrongdoing for voting someone for bandwagoning as I saw others do to me, I figured I should leave the game with a clear conscience, so I unvoted.
So basically the order was seeing what had happened, losing hope, revealing my role, getting questioned a little, answering questions/unvoting, confirming (what I thought was) my fate.
I didn't fight because I didn't think the efforts or defense would turn tables at that point (After seeing the voting frenzy after, I now think otherwise).
I gave my info as soon as I could. I didn't see my event/the beginning of day 2 until that discussion was well underway. Giving the info ASAP didn't mean the very first post of day 2, but as soon as I saw it, I knew that I had to let everyone know.
I guess my thing is that theprof00 is taking charge of a lot of discussion. While I commend him for keeping the game going, I'm also curious why so many people seem to accept everything he says rather easily. I didn't press on because a lot of the focus has been on my behavior and everyone would see such accusation as a way to take off focus on me. I wanted to be sure my name was 100% cleared before I go on any "offense".
As stated before, I didn't vote back because not only did I want to leave the game with dignity and redemption, but think about it: Flip-flopping that much when I originally stated that the first time I voted was because of bandwaggoning. That would make anyone look suspicious. :P
I appreciate your openness and unbias in this situation. I think it's more than fair to ask and push these questions in a polite way. I hope I answered them to your satisfaction, but let me know if you need any clarity.
