I think the reveal hurts them for a long time. They will likely have to play all their cards right and spin the press releases for a long time to make up for the x1's underperformance in sales and hardware specs. They control the Net that consumers use daily, so I'm sure that will get filtered more in favor of Microsoft and get a push to get gamers in that O.S..
I think this gen is going to be all PlayStation, (and Nintendo when they drop the WiiU early and bring their 9nth gen system out..((prob 2017)) and Sony has got the making of coming in this fight with a really good game plan I feel. That light bar and six axis controller are hints to what is instilled. I think they got a periphial lined up.
The PS4 will be above 50% market share by then, and above a million more owners in the U.S. above x1's numbers.
