Both consoles weren't capable of running full HD rez last gen so people fought and bickered about other things like frame consistency, gamma levels, texture detail...etc. Now, the consoles should at least be able to handle 1080p resolutions. And there is no question about it, an image at a higher rez looks clearer than one at a lower rez. So in addition to all the things we bitched about befofre, we now also bitch about rez. Seems fair if you ask me. |
So what I am trying to point out is the fact that you can't call out people who say they don't care about resolution with the sarcastic line "it only doesn't matter now that its in the playstation's favor". It didn't matter before. It was barely part of the conversation before. And resolution is very different beast from the other problems that plagued PS3 multiplats last gen. The issues are not interchangeable.
