you kinda answered your own thread. Both consoles weren't capable of running full HD rez last gen so people fought and bickered about other things like frame consistency, gamma levels, texture detail...etc.
Now, the consoles should at least be able to handle 1080p resolutions. And there is no question about it, an image at a higher rez looks clearer than one at a lower rez. So in addition to all the things we bitched about befofre, we now also bitch about rez. Seems fair if you ask me.
