I would be curious to actual data, but my sense is owning multiple systems is very rare early on and becomes more common toward the end of a generation when price drops and libraries make it easier to justify.
No, onto his data the major issue with these numbers is the X1 and PS4 are not selling 1:1, it is actually closer to 2:1 for the PS4. So, of 100 owners of the systems, 66 own a PS4 and 34 own an X1. As to the overlap I'd be very surprised if 25% right now own both.
