You need to make him understand that the reason for Nobel prize winners being majority non-black is because of opportunities not intelligence.
On the other one, tell him it's hard to know of that is true due to influence during colonialisation or countries like Persia/Roma conquering such areas.
If he answers, 'Yeah but' or soemthing similar, he knows he's lost.
