In 1997, many developers (most notably Square Soft) move from Nintendo to Sony BECAUSE OF THE EFFING CD FORMAT WHICH WAS CHEAPER AND EASIER TO CODE FOR THAN NINRENDO'S CARTRIDGE FORMAT FOR THE N64.
