because he is awesome.

i love this man for his work on hellboy alone.  he creates such great worlds, imo.

HIs IMDB further cements my point about him mostly making "popcorn flicks." He didnt create Hellboy, though he did play a part in writing both movies stories and screenplays. The world of Hellboy was created by several other people in the 10 years prior to the film.

christopher nolan didn't create batman but he did create the best onscreen representation of batman that has ever been created.  if you want to downplay guillermo just because he wasn't the exclusive creator hellboy or because he has made movies like pacific rim in addition to some of the best horror films ever that is your loss.   guillermo is very talented and i'm excited for any project he is involved in.

Nolan directed the current Batman and did some of the screenplay. The writers are the the ones responsible for the foundation. Nolan shot the movie, which can add to it. Del Toro shoots movies, I dont know how this comes across to the video game world. He is mostly a screenwriter and director and I dont know how these talents add to a videogame. You dont need screenwriters for games and he has never directed a game.

For example comic book writer Garth Ennis(Punisher, Preacher, The Boys) was the writer for the Punisher game for the PS2/XBOX/PC a decade ago. Its exciting cause you know hes a good writer. Del Toro is a good and experienced movie director as well as a veteran screenplay writer(completely different than writer).  I dont understand how that talent helps a videogame.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.
