So, on XOne it would have no competition, while on PS4 it would compete, and possibly split some sales between two games (probably hurting TR more) Microsoft then pays Square Enix to postpone PS4 version. Thus leaving Uncharted with no competition and increasing its sales in the process. TR will probably sell the same number as they were supposed to on XBox, as there is no reason for anyone to switch console of choice, while also selling about the same on PS4 as they were supposed to when competing with UC4, only 6 months later. Thus making the same money from sales, plus a money hat bonus from MS. Conclusion: MS paid money to increase sales of Uncharted 4. Brilliant! |
This is actually pretty damn funny. MS just inadvertently helped the latest sequel to Sony's biggest franchise to sell even more. Doesn't really help when all the consumers already know that RoTR will eventually come out on other platforms.
