Why is moneyhatting frowned upon?

Sony did the exact same thing with Final Fantasy when they stole it from Nintendo, and Nintendo did the exact same thing with Bayonetta 2. No. They look out for themselves and their fans, and getting exclusive rights to games is one of the ways of doing so.

Bayonetta was a niche flop.  Bayo 2 would not exist if it wasn't funded by Nintendo.

If someone at CD heard this news, they would probably just be happy that Microsoft is paying for their salaries. They don't care if some people who only have a PS4 feel betrayed for whatever reason.

No, people will be shamed by this.  Skilled and important staff can always find other jobs for a company that doesn't let them down.

You live in an ideal world where companies don't do sly moves for money. That's what most corporations do, and SE is at the top of them. They don't have a reputation of "building and preserving" reputation. The biggest companies out there (EA, Activision, SE) all don't, and they all are successful, for right or wrong.

Sony has had a personal relationship with SE for years. SE could easily have released FFX and XII on other platforms, but Sony owned almost 20% of their stock and had a decent amount of say in the partnership. Sony also got GTA III/VC/SA as timed exclusives back then, or did you forget that?

And no, no one will be shamed by this, not in the real world. This will get blown over in a month or two, and the devs will continue working for SE just the way they used to. They don't care about petty "betrayals" that some fans seem to be exaggerating, they care about paychecks and making a living. 

You don't quit your work for small things like that.
