My comment would fit any company because every company enjoys when their closest competitor is failing.
And I don't really get what you're going for. People who are glad that the other fanbase didn't get a game will likely not care about the exclusives of said other side. They're fanboys. So no, they won't feel a thing because of this announcement. Even less so because the Silent hill fanbase is not really among the MS loyals.
