No, attach rate in the US has always been higher than elsewhere.

and ps4 sold only about 40% of its installbase in the us, while xbox one sold about 65% of its installbase in the us?

Sounds about right. Still doesn't tell us which one has a better attach rate overall, although it supports the notion that X1 may have a slightly higher one (but it's really irrelevant since they are close yet PS4 is way ahead in terms of units).

ofc we dont know for sure.

but what is more likely?

xbox one: smaller installbase

xbox one: higher % of installbase in the us, who generally have a higher attach rate than the rest of the world

xbox one: 2.9 attach rate end of march (yeah, yeah probaly only us and not the world. but maybe worldwilde attachrate was even higher. we dont know)

xbox one: abysmal low hardware sales form april to july

that all favours the xbox one to have a higher attachrate than 3 right now.

according to unreliable vgchartz, xbox one had a ~4m installbase end of march

righ now we have about ~ 5m

if microsoft managed to sold just 2.9m units of software from april to end of july the attachrate would still be the same.

3.5m units for a attachrate of 3

all assuming the numbers form here are kind of correct

but i doenst care. there will be a future press realse form ms including attachrate numbers. they just loved it so far this gen. and we will see, whos right
