Many of the 3rd party exlusive deals you guys will be seeing over the next 2 years were signed deals before the consoles really went on sale so 3rd parties have no idea at the time which console would sell more.

Starting development for a next gen game is very expensive, and being able to focus on one console means less staff, shorter dev cycle, and probably funding and marketing from the platform holder.

Its an enticing offer and one that a dev who could use the extra help getting a next gen game up and running may be interested in. Its the start of a new generation, welcome to the wild west.

Now, I'm not saying I hope the XB1 doesn't do good because of it, but these devs should really get their comeuppins for doubting the PlayStation platform because of the PS3's launch. With all these signed deals, they got caught with their pants down and now they are stuck on the platform they expected to win. The silver lining perhaps.

Its great for Xbox, but now that you mention it its even worse for devs cause if they where paid for the signing before this gen started, they must have gotten much less money because the One/720 was expected to be the prefered platform.

Serves them right for preemptively ignoring half of the console fanbase.

I just hope this doesn't devolve into another Wii U like fiasco, were these devs scramble to release on PC or PS4 in an effort to recoup sales, and when nobody is buying the full price versions when u can get used copies on the One for 30 bucks, these devs say their game isn't viable on the platforms. Cause as we all know that would be utter bullshit.

Ha, I won't buy the game for any price. I'll be celebrating as the TR sales are pathetic compared to the big titles in 2015. And celebrating as XB1 sales continue to be weak. Microsoft has a garbage corporate culture, and each of their failures is something to celebrate imho.
