you cant compare the failure rate of the ps2 to the failure rate of the 360. also, the 360 doesnt have technology that you would consider new and untested in previous years. and even with the new falcon, the failure rate is still high, i dont think the main problem is the chip, seeing as how both the ps3 and wii have a 90nm and both their failure rates are well under 1%.
