Yeah and add that most people which owns more than 1 system will likely get them on PS4/X1. I'm confident that Nintendo wants better 3rd party support but it's kinda late and that's not gonna change unless they try with a console on pair with the competition (hardware-wise) and give them more facilities.
Relationship with them would improve and I'm pretty sure this way Nintendo fans are gonna buy more 3rd party software... not only that, people who never bought a Nintendo system because lack of games, will consider getting one.
This is how I think they can fix the problem but other than that I fully agree with the OP
