Looks like a lot of people haven't even watched the video. No one is arguing that it's not a good deal. Hell, even he as one of the most vocal EA haters says it is a good deal.

The problems are the implications of what could come if this business model becomes more popular. Suddenly every big publisher will have its own subscription service and they will start to lock even more content behind the paywall and chop up the games even more. And to appease the retailers with this clearly retailer hostile model they will chop up their games even more to give them to specific retailers exclusively.

It is a good deal but how many subscriptions that are based on trust will you want to have running?
