I'm not even going to debate this anymore, I've burned myself out.

Look, if you need your games to be 1080p/60fps and believe it is a god given gift to you, than please, only enjoy those games.

I just want good games. If they look great, even better. If they look great and are 900p, not 1080p, I'm not going to blow a fuse over it. To each his own though, if you enjoy games based on their technicalities, I won't judge you for it.

at this and everything above it...

...what is your expecation for a reasonable tv size and viewing distance.  i know for my set up (46" at 6 feet) the viewing charts puts me right on the line of 4k being a noticable difference to 1080p.   your cray cray if you think that i can't see a glaring difference between 720 and 1080 content.  the difference is massively notificable on my setup.   ..and honestly,.. between jaggies and other visual things i'd much rather have the jaggies gone.  those are soo distracting to an otherwise pretty visual graphics.

i delt with it last gen because there wasn't really any other choice.  but the thing about graphics is the standards are always changing and my standards pretty much now mandate 1080p.

If your standards demand 1080p, you'd best just buy a PC. There's no way that every game this gen is going to be 1080p. The consoles aren't nearly that powerful.

Anyway, I can't see the difference between 1080p and up converted 900p on my 52in TV sitting 12 feet away. Once again, if you feel that 1080p is mandated for this generation, so be it.
