Just re-bought a PS3... what games should I get?

Is the battle system better than it is in Tales of Legendia? Thats the only Tales of game Ive played and the system seemed kinda strange. Wondered if they change throughout the series or not

Never played Legendia..since I'm also new to the Tales Of series. But Xillia was pretty user friendly for newcomers and veterans to the series. From what I've seen from screenshots, Xillia does seem different from Legendia.
