It's not like PS4 is doing any better or even Wii u in that department... The only reason PS4 is successful is because MS shot themselves in the foot months before launch... Their price was wrong their hardware configuration and bundle were perceived as inferior (and yes it is a question of perception. raw power superiority is not the only variable that determine value, business and finance would be piece of cake otherwise).. And even though every recent indicator show that the vision they had is actually what is happening, they showed us the worst possible way to implement it with people not ready yet to adopt it and again not the way they wanted.. But their concept they envisioned is actually sound beside their execution...
Bottom line while XBone is clearly standing behind in terms of sales and more importantly customer perception... There are actually way more exciting things happening around the XBox one concept involving the entire world of gaming than what is happening on any other front even PC... It might fail but if it succeed it will change a lot of things for gamers for generations and that is the card MS can play... Cause nobody is shining with originality in the game space among 1st 2nd and 3rd party developers so far IMO
