Saying the XBox One will win at this point is just as much wishful thinking as anything else. Truthfully, this all sounds very similar to last gen, when people said month after month that next month the PS3 would overtake the 360. Remember how long it took?

There's nothing, nothing, out there that definitively puts the XBox in 2nd place. Third party support is hardly an argument anymore, because we've seen the greater public chooses the PS4 as their console. To the 'regular' person, it's just looking to be a better buy. There's Halo? Europe hardly cares, so it's biggest impact will be in the US. Japan and the other countries the XBox hasn't released in yet? Guess why that is, releasing there will only increase the baseline by a couple 'k weekly. People in those regions only have the PS4 on their minds. Maybe the holidays? I never got this part, we all know Nintendo's consoles have huge holiday boosts, why would this year be different? Because of a remake of Halo? Are Mario Kart 8 and Smash going to do nothing at all this holiday? Price-cuts then? Even when we've already seen taking away the Kinect and having deals and bundles hardly helped the XBox One get anywhere, it's not like the WiiU's price will always stay the same.

Anyway, I'm not saying I know which console will win 2nd place, seriously, it's still any man's game. I'm just saying the XBox's outlook as just as cloudy and uncertain as WiiU's is and there are still many unknowns and wildcards. I'm saying, it will be close, and it will take a very, very long time.
